Senior Mobile Software Engineer, iOS

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and sustain the native iOS application using Swift and SwiftUI.

• Deliver features starting from technical design to release and subsequent iterations.

• Manage code signing, provisioning, TestFlight distribution, App Store review and submission, phased rollouts, and crash triage.

• Implement code reviews, automated testing, and CI/CD methodologies.

• Integrate mini-apps, payment solutions, and virtual currency systems into the Xsolla App ecosystem.

• Collaborate with product, design, backend, QA, project management, Android, and React Native teams.

• Design scalable iOS architecture emphasizing maintainability, performance, and developer experience.

• Lead decisions concerning modularization, dependency injection, navigation, and state management.

• Optimize Xcode builds, Swift Package Manager dependencies, and modular targets.

• Develop and maintain a SwiftUI component library and design system.

• Establish coding standards, design patterns, and industry best practices for mobile development.

• Create technical specifications and architecture documentation.

• Promote mobile observability through logging, crash monitoring, performance tracing, and release health dashboards.

• Utilize AI coding agents in daily engineering workflows and enhance prompting, review, and verification processes.

• Develop tooling, provide development context, implement automated checks, and create reproducible environments for AI agents.

• Prototype and launch AI-powered features utilizing Core ML, Foundation Models, and server-side LLMs.

• Design evaluations for AI features, establish guardrails, conduct regression testing, and manage production failure responses.

• Mentor engineers in iOS and AI-assisted development practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of professional experience in iOS development.

• In-depth, practical knowledge of Swift.

• Proven history of delivering commercial iOS applications currently available in the App Store.

• Strong proficiency in SwiftUI, Swift Concurrency, Combine, UIKit interop, and the Observation framework.

• Familiarity with iOS architecture patterns, dependency injection, and state management.

• Experience with XCTest, Swift Testing, as well as snapshot and UI testing.

• Experience in CI/CD practices for iOS release pipelines.

• Proficient in using Instruments for performance, memory, and energy profiling.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience.

• Daily engagement with AI coding agents and AI-assisted development tools like Claude Code, Copilot, or Cursor.

• Experience with REST/GraphQL APIs, third-party integrations, and mobile SDK consumption.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
