Senior Software Engineer II, Full Stack, Analytics & Automation

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop and deliver product features from inception to deployment.

• Create clear and detailed design documentation.

• Provide mentorship to fellow engineers.

• Direct decisions regarding application architecture.

• Diagnose, debug, and rectify software issues.

• Develop back-end APIs using Python and Node.JS.

• Work on single-page applications using React, Vue, and Ember.

• Collaborate effectively with engineers, designers, and product managers.

• Engage in an Agile software development lifecycle.

• Produce well-structured, maintainable, and testable code.

• Employ a product-oriented, customer-centric mindset.

• Participate in open-source projects.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 8 years of experience in developing web-based applications.

• Proven ability to oversee high-quality work through delivery among multiple developers.

• Familiarity with web frameworks such as Django or Rails.

• Experience with modern front-end frameworks (React, Vue, Ember, Angular, etc.).

• Proficiency in writing REST / JSON APIs (Swagger / OpenAPI Specification).

• Skilled in writing software tests.

• Capability to independently solve technical challenges.

• B.S., M.S., or PhD. in Computer Science or a related field.

• Experience with infrastructure as code tools like Terraform.

• Knowledge of Node.JS and modern ES6 or TypeScript.

• Familiarity with React or Ember.JS.

• Experience with cloud computing services, such as AWS.

• Background in working on SaaS web applications.

• Bonus: Experience with Docker or Kubernetes.
