Senior Software Engineer II – Auth

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design and uphold essential authentication systems for Bitwarden’s web, desktop, browser extension, CLI, and mobile applications.

• Develop and sustain authentication code within the shared Rust core library, Angular clients, and IdentityServer back-end.

• Collaboratively define and refine initiatives across various teams.

• Create, document, and convey forward-thinking solutions.

• Actively participate in both synchronous and asynchronous team discussions.

• Deliver prompt, comprehensive, and well-considered code reviews.

• Assess, diagnose, and resolve bugs reported by the community and customers.

• Update and verify core dependencies to ensure a secure and stable supply chain.

⛳️ Requirements

• Significant experience in Angular development.

• Experience with .NET is highly advantageous.

• Familiarity with integrating Rust into other applications using WASM and UNIFFI bindings.

• Understanding of contemporary web authentication concepts, including OAuth 2.0, OIDC, and WebAuthn.

• Experience with Claude/LLMs or a willingness to learn about the technology.

• Strong technical writing abilities and the capacity to effectively communicate complex issues.

• Knowledge of modern encryption methods and secure development principles is beneficial.

• Exceptional communication, problem-solving, and teamwork skills.

• Keen attention to detail.

• Passion for open source and enhancing internet security.

• Must be located in the U.S.
