Senior Software Engineer II – Agentic SDLC

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Oversee the comprehensive delivery of significant or unclear initiatives that involve multiple systems or teams.

• Utilize AI-driven coding tools and independent development workflows.

• Manage project execution from the design phase to deployment, incorporating agentic workflows and automated safeguards.

• Offer technical direction through code evaluations, architectural choices, and best practices for AI coding agents.

• Guide junior engineers in technical skills, design, problem-solving, and capabilities related to agentic tools.

• Participate in strategic planning and the implementation of agentic software development life cycle (SDLC) practices.

• Analyze and resolve intricate technical issues utilizing agent-driven debugging and innovative solutions.

• Influence technical decisions at the project and team levels, as well as long-term architectural strategies.

• Drive enhancements in reliability, scalability, observability, and incident response measures.

• Enhance engineering patterns, tools, documentation, and processes across various teams.

• Articulate complex technical ideas to engineers, product managers, and executive leadership.

• Provide clarity, structure, and guidance in uncertain or rapidly changing scenarios.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 7 years of experience in delivering intricate software systems and addressing technical challenges.

• Strong backend expertise in designing and developing resilient services using Python, Flask, and/or FastAPI.

• Proficient in writing thorough backend tests, such as with Pytest, and ensuring extensive test coverage.

• Familiarity with or reasonable frontend experience in React, Next.js, and Typescript is advantageous.

• Capability to decompose complex projects into manageable components or milestones that other engineers can readily adopt.

• A strong desire to enhance engineering quality, reliability, and service performance.

• Proven ability to collaborate with colleagues in cross-functional teams.

• Experience in creating consumer-facing applications and internal tools.

• Legally eligible to work in the United States at the time of hiring without the need for current or future visa sponsorship from the employer.
