This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.
• Take ownership and enhance the enterprise identity platform from start to finish.
• Create, develop, and deliver software solutions for onboarding, authentication, and authorization throughout the Thrive ecosystem.
• Collaborate with internal teams to deliver identity management tools and systems.
• Independently define and execute medium-to-large projects, turning ambiguous problems into delivered solutions.
• Break down work into manageable streams, prioritize delivery, and drive projects to completion with minimal oversight.
• Work alongside Product and stakeholders to convert business needs into technical strategies.
• Identify trade-offs early and keep cross-functional partners updated.
• Maintain a high standard of quality while quickly shipping and iterating on products.
• Ensure platform reliability and manage incident responses.
• Provide on-call support and incident management during U.S. working hours.
• BA/BS degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Senior-level engineering experience with a proven history of managing production systems end-to-end.
• Proficient in Java/Kotlin.
• Ideally possess full-stack experience with TypeScript.
• Experience in balancing sustaining engineering (reliability, scalability, technical debt) with the delivery of new features.
• Background in building and maintaining B2B/enterprise-facing software.
• Capability to independently scope and manage medium-to-large projects.
• Experience with on-call rotations and incident management.
• Significant daily overlap with U.S. Eastern business hours.
• Willingness to coordinate with the Ireland-based team.
• Practical experience with OAuth 2.0, OIDC, SAML, and SCIM provisioning.
• Familiarity with integrating enterprise identity providers such as Okta, Entra ID, Ping, or similar.
• Experience diagnosing customer SSO configurations in a production environment.
• Knowledge of session management, token lifecycle, and secure credential management at scale.
• Experience developing software in security-sensitive or regulated environments like SOC 2 or HIPAA.
