Senior Software Engineer, Identity

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of comprehensive data collection across the JavaScript tag, Cloudflare Workers, and Java backend services.

• Enhance the Cloudflare Workers infrastructure for tag serving, A/B configuration, agentic systems, and data analysis.

• Develop agentic AI systems to recognize, diagnose, and resolve gaps in customer data collection.

• Refine event ingestion services to ensure reliable and observable receipt, validation, and routing of events.

• Compose technical proposals and facilitate design reviews.

• Guide and mentor team members while helping to steer the technical direction of a small autonomous team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 6 years of professional experience in software engineering.

• Proven experience working across various layers of a system.

• Backend experience in Java, Kotlin, or a comparable typed language.

• Proficiency in API design, data modeling, and testing.

• Familiarity with JavaScript/TypeScript, including browser runtime behavior, asynchronous patterns, and production performance.

• Experience with edge computing or serverless environments, or the ability to learn quickly.

• Demonstrated experience leading projects from initial scoping to final shipping.

• Strong debugging skills across service boundaries.

• Regular use of AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Cursor, or Codex.

• Openness to working across unfamiliar areas of the tech stack.
