Senior Software Engineer – GraphAware Hume

📋 Description

• Develop APIs that facilitate intuitive interactions with complex datasets.

• Create secure and scalable access control systems tailored for mission-critical environments.

• Streamline workflows to automate graph analytics, inference, and provide real-time insights.

• Enhance application performance while collaborating with fellow engineers to ensure a seamless user experience.

• Participate in architecture and technical design discussions with the team.

• Influence the foundational intelligence of GraphAware Hume, Neo4j's graph-based analytics platform.


⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive experience in backend systems (8+ years) with a focus on large-scale, complex applications and cross-functional teams.

• Proficiency in Java programming.

• Familiarity with Clean Architecture, Domain-Driven Design (DDD), and Test-Driven Development (TDD).

• Advanced skills in debugging and profiling techniques.

• Capability to write composable, maintainable, and testable code.

• Experience with Spring or comparable frameworks.

• Proven track record in building secure, modular, and scalable APIs.

• Experience in designing relational data models, such as PostgreSQL.

• Ideally, a background in designing graph-based data models, including Neo4j or similar technologies.

• Familiarity with modern CI/CD pipelines.

• Experience with containerization technologies, including Docker.

• Understanding of automated deployment workflows.

• Practical knowledge of secure software design and common vulnerabilities, such as those identified by OWASP.

• Comfortable collaborating in remote teams and utilizing asynchronous communication tools and practices.

• Bonus points for familiarity with Cypher, Neo4j, knowledge graphs, event-driven architectures, Kafka, distributed systems, cloud-native development, observability, performance tuning, LLMs, or AI/ML production integrations.
