Senior Software Engineer – Grafana Search & Storage

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Shape the direction of the roadmap and personal career aspirations.

• Collaborate with the team to develop, iterate, and enhance new features.

• Lead projects from conception to operational implementation post-customer delivery.

• Engage in open-source contributions beyond the immediate team’s focus.

• Design, construct, operate, and sustain essential systems.

• Take responsibility for system reliability, performance, and availability.

• Participate in on-call rotations and manage services under your care.

• Provide mentorship and assistance to team members.

• Engage in design discussions and work collaboratively with the team.

• Acquire knowledge about the cloud product, customer requirements, and the extensive distributed-system codebase.

⛳️ Requirements

• Applicants must reside in Canada or the United States.

• Strong experience with Go, Rust, Python, or comparable programming languages.

• Proven expertise in working with large distributed systems.

• Experience in delivering projects from requirements gathering and ideation through to product delivery.

• Background in developing software that operates in the Cloud or systems engineering experience.

• Skill in writing clean, robust, efficient, and maintainable code.

• Independent mindset combined with effective communication abilities.

• Familiarity with Grafana and Prometheus in operational roles is advantageous.

• Knowledge of on-call duties, operations/SRE tasks, or infrastructure as code is a bonus.
