Senior Software Engineer, Go

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design and enhance Go APIs and workers that form the authentication gateway and request-routing layer for financial services.

• Engage in authentication and authorization processes (OAuth2, JWT, certificates, IDP, and SK).

• Oversee and improve API Gateway plugins, ensuring comprehensive resilience and observability.

• Guarantee high availability, performance, and low latency for edge services managing substantial traffic volumes.

• Contribute to the Kubernetes deployment lifecycle, observability efforts, and incident management.

• Record changes implemented in the documentation.

• Build and uphold production systems with an emphasis on performance, scalability, security, availability, reliability, and resilience.

⛳️ Requirements

• Identify deficiencies in the architecture and development process, challenge current methods, and suggest solutions.

• Perform code and documentation evaluations.

• Implement automated testing and adhere to CI/CD best practices.

• Develop software in Go, possessing over 5 years of production experience with a focus on business-critical services.

• Strong understanding of authentication and authorization, including OAuth2, JWT, mTLS, and certificate management.

• Robust security mindset, encompassing secrets management, encryption, and hardening of exposed APIs.

• Practical experience with Kubernetes and deploying containerized applications.

• Familiarity with relational databases (PostgreSQL), non-relational databases (MongoDB), and distributed caching (Redis).

• Ability to influence architectural decisions, participate in code reviews, and provide technical guidance.

• Experience with API Gateway architecture; familiarity with Kong is an advantage.

• Understanding of public cloud platforms such as AWS (ECS, EKS, RDS, ElastiCache).

• Experience with GitOps tools and practices, including ArgoCD.

• Knowledge of and interest in financial markets, payment systems, or payment methods.
