This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Achieve essential business outcomes by contributing to the Go-based, cross-OS endpoint agent cybersecurity platform.
• Design and implement cloud microservice components utilizing Typescript and Go.
• Leverage design and architectural expertise along with best practices in design patterns.
• Enhance software performance, scalability, and resilience.
• Work collaboratively across various functional teams while managing expectations and requirements.
• Mentor fellow engineers and lead intricate, cross-functional initiatives.
• Articulate technical solutions that are in line with overarching business goals.
• Provide transparent progress updates.
• Play a key role in preventing cyber-attacks and safeguarding Blackpoint Cyber’s expanding customer base.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in Go development.
• Proficient in using Typescript and Go for creating and maintaining cloud microservices.
• Experience in building and utilizing REST APIs, emphasizing secure, scalable, and fault-tolerant services.
• Practical knowledge of CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitLab, or similar tools, automating testing, deployment, and scaling of services.
• Familiarity with working in an Agile development setting.
• Capability to lead sprint planning, dissect large projects, and align team efforts with business goals.
• Outstanding analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Proven history of identifying complex issues, formulating effective solutions, and employing innovative strategies.
• Strong understanding of security best practices, particularly in Windows environments, such as securing APIs, managing sensitive data, and overseeing authentication/authorization (OAuth, JWT) (preferred).
• Experience in delivering robust applications that are friendly to cross-platform environments (preferred).
• Authorization to work in Canada without restrictions.
