Senior Java Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Argentina.

📋 Description

• Engage in the complete development life cycle, encompassing requirement analysis, low-level technical design, development, testing, bug resolution, release, and rollout support.

• Design, construct, and sustain high-performance backend applications utilizing Java 7 and Java 8.

• Investigate, diagnose, and resolve intricate application and database issues.

• Advocate for best practices and maintain code quality standards.

• Develop and enhance integrations with Oracle and Progress databases.

• Oversee database schema modifications and deployments through Liquibase.

• Contribute to the deployment and operation of solutions within AWS environments.

• Take part in application design and technical architecture discussions.

• Collaborate with business stakeholders, architects, analysts, and developers in an agile setting.

• Deliver secure, efficient, scalable, reliable, and maintainable enterprise-grade applications.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of demonstrated experience in backend application development with Java 7 and Java 8.

• Strong background in working with relational databases, specifically Oracle and Progress.

• Practical knowledge of database version control and deployment management utilizing Liquibase.

• Experience in designing, developing, and supporting enterprise applications within AWS cloud environments.

• Comprehensive understanding of software design principles, object-oriented programming, and application architecture patterns.

• Proven experience in integrating applications with external systems and developing scalable APIs and services.

• Strong troubleshooting, performance tuning, and problem-solving abilities across application and database layers.

• Familiarity with Oil & Gas Upstream processes and industry practices is highly desirable.

• Experience working within Agile development methodologies and collaborating in cross-functional teams.

• English proficiency: Upper Intermediate or above.
