Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack – Builder Studio

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.

📋 Description

• Develop the foundational Builder Studio experience, encompassing the chat-driven build loop, live preview, canvas, and publishing/sharing process.

• Influence how the agent transforms natural-language objectives into actionable plans, pages, databases, and workflows, while ensuring safe follow-up edits.

• Design the runtime and workflow components for generated applications, which includes triggers, scheduled jobs, retries, logging, and differentiating between deterministic and agentic steps.

• Manage delegated identities, permissions, secrets, and isolation for the generated applications.

• Broaden integrations with Apollo data and external platforms such as Google Sheets, Google Drive, CRMs, and MCP-based connectors.

• Clarify the relationships between pages, data, workflows, and agents within the user interface.

• Collaborate directly with design partners and customers, converting their feedback into tangible improvements.

• Establish engineering standards, write tests and evaluations, and ensure reliability, performance, and cost-effectiveness.

• Leverage AI-assisted development for design, exploration, and implementation tasks.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in building and delivering production software.

• Profound expertise in both frontend and backend development of the same product.

• Strong proficiency in TypeScript and React.

• Experience with intricate, stateful user interfaces such as editors, canvases, builders, or real-time collaborative environments.

• Solid experience in backend and API design.

• Familiarity with event-driven or workflow systems where retries, idempotency, and observability are crucial.

• Practical experience in deploying LLMs in production settings, encompassing agent loops, tool invocation, context management, code generation, or evaluations.

• Understanding of model failure modes and strategies for designing around them.

• Experience making security-related decisions for systems that execute untrusted or generated code, including sandboxing, delegated authentication, scoped tokens, and secrets management.

• Proven ability to take an ambiguous 0 to 1 product from a rough prototype to a reliable solution for customers.

• Strong product intuition and empathy towards non-technical users.

• Current and genuine fluency with AI-assisted development.

• High standards for quality and ownership.

• Experience with low-code, no-code, AI app-builder products, developer tools, Cloudflare Workers, Durable Objects, Ruby on Rails at scale, or GTM/sales/marketing technology is a plus.
