Senior Software Engineer, Fullstack – App Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Decompose larger projects into manageable tasks, deliver them in various phases, and work together to ensure timely completion.

• Partner with product management, design, and analytics teams during the ideation and decision-making processes.

• Clearly communicate technical limitations and assist in assessing risks and trade-offs.

• Develop and track metrics for team deliverables.

• Address issues and support operational availability, ensure continuity, and participate in on-call duties.

• Engage in growth and development initiatives, including the interview process.

• Contribute to front-end-facing projects that span mobile and web technologies across different teams.

• Collaborate with product experience teams throughout Affirm.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 1.5 years of experience as a software engineer.

• Proven experience in deploying web applications utilizing declarative UI frameworks like React or Vue.

• Experience in launching mobile applications using native or cross-platform languages such as React Native.

• Skilled in designing, developing, and deploying APIs at scale with programming languages like Kotlin or Python.

• Ability to convert straightforward problems or business scenarios into solutions that interact with multiple software components.

• Proficiency in writing clear, well-tested, and maintainable code.

• Comfortable navigating extensive codebases, debugging code written by others, and providing constructive code review feedback.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Relevant practical experience or a Bachelor's degree in a related area.
