Senior Software Engineer – Full-Stack, Front End Leaning

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Arizona.

📋 Description

• Engage throughout the complete software development lifecycle from initial concept through to production release.

• Develop backend services, APIs, and data models for both customer-facing applications and internal workflows.

• Create frontend applications utilizing Javascript, Typescript, React, and NextJS.

• Work collaboratively with Product, Engineering, and partner teams to design technical solutions.

• Diagnose issues related to data, integration, services, and UI within a large distributed codebase.

• Contribute to the creation and maintenance of technical documentation.

• Enhance system design, code quality, observability, and adherence to engineering best practices.

• Utilize AI tools, preferably Claude, to expedite software design, architecture, and implementation.

• Build and manage the customer-facing Power Packs experience, along with backend services, internal tools, and integrations with collection systems.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in software engineering focused on building production-level applications.

• Significant experience with backend systems and considerable experience with frontend products.

• At least 3 years of experience or strong proficiency in Java and Spring Boot.

• Solid understanding of relational databases like PostgreSQL and NoSQL databases such as DynamoDB.

• Proven experience in designing and constructing APIs and service integrations.

• More than 3 years of modern frontend development experience using Javascript, Typescript, React, and NextJS.

• Familiarity with containerization and orchestration technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and ECS.

• Ability to translate intricate business requirements into clean, scalable systems and user experiences.

• Strong technical, analytical, troubleshooting, and communication abilities.

• Capability to visualize and document processes effectively.

• Proficient in security, documentation, testing, and monitoring best practices.

• Understanding of Agile/Scrum methodologies.

• Comfort with AI tools, preferably Claude, for solution design, system architecture, and software development.
