Junior UI Developer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Create visually appealing and user-friendly web applications

• Convert designs provided by internal designers and clients into high-quality, enterprise-level web solutions

• Assist in the development, updating, and maintenance of UI components and branding, emphasizing design and responsiveness

• Work collaboratively with senior developers, designers, and Product Management

• Produce clean, maintainable HTML and CSS using SASS and utility classes, along with basic JavaScript, including experience with React and Svelte

• Identify, troubleshoot, and resolve styling issues or UI-related bugs across various browsers and devices

• Engage in code reviews to enhance skills in alignment with RainFocus coding standards

• Aid in the configuration of client white-labeling, templates, and basic event workflows

• Collaborate with clients to strategize and implement branding needs

⛳️ Requirements

• 1–2 years of experience in professional web development, or equivalent experience gained through bootcamps, internships, or a strong portfolio

• Strong foundational knowledge of HTML, CSS, and CSS preprocessors such as SASS

• Basic familiarity with vanilla JavaScript and a willingness to learn modern frameworks like React and Svelte

• Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility

• Knowledge of version control systems, particularly Git

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities

• Self-motivated with a proactive approach to asking questions, learning, and evolving as a developer

• Experience with design tools such as Figma, Adobe XD, or Photoshop

• Basic understanding of web accessibility (WCAG) standards

• Familiarity with Agile software development practices

• General comprehension of how APIs or backend systems (like Java) interact with front-end code
