AI Frontend Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Spain.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and enhance the digital experiences of Casiopea for a health project.

• Utilize React technologies to ensure usability, performance, accessibility, and maintainability.

• Incorporate advanced capabilities of Artificial Intelligence, smart assistants, and conversational experiences.

• Tailor digital experiences for healthcare professionals, administrative staff, and patients.

• Design and integrate microfrontend architectures, including shell/container apps and multiple MFEs.

• Coordinate independent deployments and decoupled CI/CD for microfrontends.

• Engage in frontend architecture decisions and key technical choices.

• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams and maintain coordination across teams.

• Mentor fellow developers.

• Manage APIs, caching, revalidation, and data synchronization between microfrontends.

• Implement unit and integration testing, including isolation and mocks of external microfrontends.

• Apply practices of clean code, error boundaries, distributed logging, and security in distributed environments.

• Define contracts between applications and take ownership of functional domains.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in frontend development.

• More than 3 years of production experience with React.

• Experience with large-scale applications (enterprise/SaaS).

• Background in multidisciplinary teams.

• Active participation in frontend architecture.

• Involvement in key technical decisions.

• Mentoring experience with other developers.

• Advanced proficiency in React: Hooks, modern lifecycle, compound components, hooks pattern, headless components, Redux Toolkit/Zustand, side effects, memoization, code splitting, and rendering performance.

• Solid TypeScript knowledge: complex generics, typing for hooks and HOCs, robust interfaces for APIs, union types, narrowing, and inference.

• Production-level experience with Vite, including custom plugins, aliases, and module resolution, as well as differences from Webpack and bundle optimization.

• Real-world experience with microfrontend architectures in production.

• Knowledge of Module Federation, Single-SPA, and microfrontends using Web Components.

• Communication between microfrontends via event bus, props/shared state, and custom events.

• Management of shared dependencies, versioning, isolation, and reuse.

• Design of shell/container apps and integration of multiple microfrontends.

• Independent deployment for microfrontends and decoupled CI/CD.

• Understanding of dependency issues, React duplication, runtime performance, and team coordination.

• Experience with REST APIs and/or GraphQL.

• Strategies for caching, revalidation, and data synchronization between microfrontends.

• Knowledge of CSS.

• Unit and integration testing with Jest/Vitest and React Testing Library.

• Testing in microfrontends: isolation of tests and mocking external microfrontends.

• Design of scalable and modular frontends.

• Adherence to clean code principles and responsibility separation.

• Implementation of error boundaries and distributed logging.

• Advanced Git skills.

• CI/CD practices for microfrontends.

• Experience with monorepos using Nx or Turborepo.

• Familiarity with ESLint.

• Secure handling of shared tokens among microfrontends.

• Protection against XSS.

• SSO in microfrontend architecture.

• Knowledge of Prompt Engineering, RAG, MCP, LLMs, Function Calling, AI Agents, Vector Search, Semantic Search, and Responsible AI.
