
Senior Software Engineer, Frontend β App Experience

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
β’ Take ownership of and achieve quarterly objectives for the team.
β’ Guide engineers through uncertain situations to tackle open-ended challenges and provide support throughout the delivery process.
β’ Work collaboratively with product management, design, and analytics during the ideation and decision-making phases.
β’ Clearly communicate technical limitations while assessing risks and trade-offs.
β’ Identify and lead the resolution of issues related to projects, processes, technology, and business.
β’ Ensure the availability and operation of team artifacts by creating and monitoring metrics.
β’ Raise issues when necessary and assist in maintaining operational readiness and on-call responsibilities.
β’ Establish or enhance code review and design standards.
β’ Promote engineering standards through writing and technology presentations.
β’ Foster team development by providing feedback, guidance, and leading by example.
β’ Implement product features based on Figma designs or product specifications.
β’ Migrate and modernize web code, design systems, and architectural frameworks.
β’ Create or repurpose codemods, AI agent capabilities, and tools to enhance delivery efficiency.
β’ A minimum of 4 years of experience in developing and architecting web applications using declarative UI frameworks such as React or Vue.
β’ Strong proficiency in JavaScript/TypeScript.
β’ Experience collaborating across multiple teams and leading horizontal initiatives with proven leadership capabilities.
β’ Proven track record in delivering major features or system components or phasing out existing functionalities through a technical and execution strategy.
β’ Experience in defining technical blueprints for significant features or system components with clean, simple, and extensible designs.
β’ High-quality coding abilities; code should be easily comprehensible and usable by others.
β’ Proficiency in implementing substantial changes within a large codebase.
β’ Experience in developing tools and methodologies to safely implement large codebase modifications.
β’ Demonstrated proactive ownership of personal professional development and a commitment to seeking feedback.
β’ Excellent verbal and written communication skills for effective collaboration with a global engineering team.
β’ Must be residing in Alberta, British Columbia, Manitoba, New Brunswick, Newfoundland and Labrador, Nova Scotia, Ontario, Prince Edward Island, or Saskatchewan.
