This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +11 more states.
• Spearhead front-end and full-stack projects from unclear problem statements to delivered and evaluated results.
• Make architectural choices, prioritize tasks, and navigate project compromises.
• Collaborate with product managers and designers to enhance customer experiences.
• Take responsibility for the performance, stability, accessibility, and maintainability of deployed code.
• Integrate with mobile applications, subscription services, analytics, search and discovery, and loyalty platforms.
• Utilize AI tools to expedite development while upholding quality and independent decision-making.
• Work alongside UX Design to define and expand the design system and UI component library.
• Partner with analytics teams to set up measurement and tracking protocols.
• Advocate for testing, documentation, and reusable team workflows.
• Engage in take-home and working review interview processes focusing on system design, coding, product insights, and AI application.
• Over 7 years of experience in developing and managing production web applications, particularly with a strong focus on the front end.
• Extensive knowledge of JavaScript and TypeScript.
• Familiarity with at least one modern component framework (such as React, Vue, Svelte, or similar).
• Experience in state management and performance optimization for consumer-oriented applications.
• Proficient in working across APIs, data models, integrations, CI, browser, and infrastructure.
• Capability to quickly adapt and become effective in new frameworks, languages, or platforms.
• Proven experience in leading projects from ambiguous problem definitions to successful delivery.
• Strong product and design thinking skills.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills regarding technical trade-offs.
• Genuine passion for Grove’s mission and sustainability principles.
• Familiarity with Shopify, large-scale e-commerce, subscription commerce, GraphQL, testing tools, Git workflows, CI, accessibility, A/B testing, and experimentation platforms is a plus.
