This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Canada.
• Take ownership of intricate, end-to-end frontend projects throughout the trading experience, from technical design to implementation, launch, and iteration.
• Develop and enhance client-facing interfaces that facilitate order flow and trading products.
• Prioritize reliability, performance, and accuracy.
• Engage in order entry and execution, options trading, real-time market data, and portfolio experiences across equities, options, and cryptocurrency.
• Make architectural choices and assist in balancing speed, quality, and scalability.
• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to clarify objectives, highlight trade-offs, and achieve desired outcomes.
• Construct with reliability and observability standards tailored for trading journeys.
• Utilize AI-driven workflows to expedite and enhance safety in shipping processes.
• Contribute through design reviews, code evaluations, documentation, pairing, and mentoring.
• Over 5 years of professional experience in software engineering.
• Strong fundamentals in frontend development using React and TypeScript.
• Experience with React Native is preferred.
• Native mobile development experience with Swift/iOS or Kotlin/Android is highly advantageous.
• Familiarity with AI-driven development workflows, including agentic workflows, sound judgment, risk awareness, and verification practices.
• Possess product judgment and a maker-owner mentality.
• Demonstrated technical leadership and effective communication skills.
• Experience in building production-grade systems relied upon by real users.
• Nice to have: background in trading, brokerage, or real-time high-reliability financial interfaces.
• Nice to have: experience with GraphQL and performance optimization techniques.
• Nice to have: familiarity with Ruby on Rails, Kotlin, or Java.
• Nice to have: experience in dynamic environments with extensive engineering ownership.
• A passion for trading and investing is a plus.
• Must be legally authorized to work in Canada.
