Senior Software Engineer, Data Platform

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in India.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and conduct testing of distributed software applications.

• Create and implement fault-tolerant systems to maintain service availability and assurances during catastrophic failures.

• Assess and analyze requirements from other engineering teams for various applications.

• Collaborate with other teams to address urgent software issues in deployed services.

• Utilize various monitoring and alerting services to tackle complex programming challenges at scale.

• Work on a comprehensive solution centered around Apache Pinot.

• Engage in distributed systems that encompass messaging, OLAP, and stream processing.

• Proficiency in programming languages: Java, Go, Python.

• Understanding of relational database concepts and familiarity with SQL.

• Skills in debugging and monitoring production services.

• Knowledge of operating system concepts: networking, multi-threading, POSIX.

• Experience with UNIX/Linux scripting.

• Familiarity with dependency management tools such as Maven and Artifactory.

• Experience with source control systems like Git and SVN.

• Insight into distributed systems, messaging, OLAP, and stream processing.
