Senior Software Engineer – Data Integration Focus

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany.

📋 Description

• Create and execute read/write integrations with external practice management systems.

• Develop infrastructure capable of scaling to accommodate hundreds of thousands of individual practice servers.

• Integrate reliability into the system through data consistency, idempotency, retries, error handling, and observability.

• Diagnose integration failures in production, effectively communicate the impact, and enhance the system to mitigate future occurrences.

• Establish technical standards and architecture for integrations.

• Create practical processes for development, maintenance, and incident management.

• Deliver production integrations that expand Luna’s capabilities and facilitate growth from hundreds to hundreds of thousands of medical practitioners.

⛳️ Requirements

• Extensive hands-on programming experience in Python, TypeScript, and/or Rust.

• Demonstrated experience in building and operating software in a production environment.

• Strong knowledge of integration patterns, distributed systems, and potential failure modes.

• Ability to function effectively in chaotic environments (inconsistent behavior, missing documentation, etc.).

• Strong communication skills under pressure (during incidents, vendor challenges, and competing priorities).

• Enthusiastic about working in a dynamic and fast-paced setting.

• Previous experience with healthcare software or practice management systems.

• Familiarity with healthcare workflows, terminology, or data standards (e.g., FHIR).

• Proficiency in German (both spoken and written).

• Experience in startup or scale-up environments.

• Capability to submit a resume.
