This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.
• Create and develop customized tools, scripts, and applications utilizing AI and LLMs to produce realistic simulated traffic for SaaS providers, cloud platforms, and enterprise endpoints.
• Design, implement, and manage scalable, efficient, and fault-tolerant core services for cybersecurity range simulation.
• Oversee comprehensive technical projects and guide engineers in architectural design.
• Generate emulated cloud services and synthetic data pipelines that accurately reflect attacker and defender activities.
• Perform code reviews and establish monitoring and alerting strategies to ensure high availability and adherence to company standards.
• Collaborate with Product Managers, UX Designers, and content developers to convert training needs into user-centered technical solutions.
• Keep documentation updated for system design, technical architecture, and troubleshooting guides.
• Design next-generation high-fidelity cyber simulations utilizing microservices, event-driven messaging systems, and containerization.
• Create hybrid solutions that simulate traffic across IoT systems, local software, SaaS platforms, and cloud-native environments.
• Propel technical innovation by simulating real-world cyber attacks and human-user personas.
• A minimum of 6 years of hands-on experience in software development, with a strong emphasis on building large-scale, distributed systems.
• Proficiency in an OOP-based programming language such as Java, Kotlin, or Python.
• Solid understanding of API design principles, including HTTP/S, REST, OAuth, and SAML.
• Ability to leverage AI, LLM, and API functionalities for complex automation and simulation tasks.
• Demonstrated experience with unit and integration testing, as well as deploying services in Kubernetes or similar container orchestration environments.
• Skilled in using Terraform, Ansible, and Puppet for managing virtualized platforms like VMware.
• Experience working within or developing for air-gapped environments.
• Expertise in virtual networking architecture, including segmentation with VPCs and subnets, as well as secure connectivity solutions.
• Comfortable in leading, driving, and delegating initiatives within a team.
• Background in or related to cybersecurity, with a solid understanding of both offensive and defensive security.
• Proficient in English to effectively participate in interviews and conduct business entirely in English.
• Authorized to work in Costa Rica.
