Senior Software Engineer, Atlas Clusters Security

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop and design innovative features for MongoDB Atlas

• Lead and contribute to intricate technical projects

• Collaborate closely with product and design teams with a focus on the user’s viewpoint

• Engage with customers and support engineers to resolve issues

• Work together with team members to enhance the codebase, establish best practices, and design principles

• Mentor and learn from fellow team members

• Participate in an on-call rotation to maintain support for Atlas production services

• Design and manage encryption and compliance systems in a production environment

• Oversee fleet-wide rollouts

• Collaborate with customers on encryption or key-management issues that impact their clusters

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 5 years of professional software development experience

• Proficient in creating large-scale, distributed backend systems using a compiled language such as Java or Go

• Familiarity with at least one major cloud provider: AWS, Azure, or GCP

• Experience in leading the launch of new features and maintaining them in a production setting

• Preferred: background in cloud key management (KMS / Key Vault / Cloud KMS), IAM, private networking, or encryption in a SaaS production environment

• Strong communication skills

• Demonstrated curiosity, collaboration, and motivation
