Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Collaborate with stakeholders to understand the primary challenges faced by customers.

• Utilize data to measure, inspect, and influence decision-making processes.

• Design, test, code, and implement innovative solutions.

• Enhance and drive engineering processes using TDD and BDD, along with microservices and vertical slice architectures.

• Provide support for live applications through proactive monitoring, swift incident response, and ongoing improvement efforts.

• Evaluate existing systems and processes to pinpoint bottlenecks and opportunities for enhancement.

• Mentor colleagues and engage in mutual learning to promote continuous development.

• Become a subject matter expert in the relevant functional area and best practices.

• Analyze unique situations and employ creative problem-solving strategies.

• Work independently and engage in proactive reviews with team members.

• Take initiative, seek opportunities to contribute, and work with minimal oversight.

⛳️ Requirements

• A Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related discipline; OR equivalent demonstrable experience.

• Minimum of 5 years of experience in software engineering.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent skills in communication and collaboration.

• A keen interest in staying current with modern technologies and design trends.

• Advanced proficiency in Angular and/or React.

• Experience in building and consuming REST APIs.

• A proven history of writing thorough unit tests and test suites.

• Solid understanding of software security principles and OWASP guidelines.

• Proficient with Git version control and CI/CD pipelines.

• Familiarity with Agile development methodologies.

• A track record of delivering complex projects on time.

• Experience in writing efficient stored procedures and functions.

• Background in developing Cloud-Native applications and services.

• Proficiency in C# and Python (if applicable).

• Experience with Docker.

• Knowledge of modern RDBMS, such as MS SQL, Postgres, or MySQL.

• Experience in ASP.NET RESTful API design.

• Familiarity with Kafka/event-driven design.

• Knowledge of modern web UI frameworks and libraries, such as Angular or React.
