Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develop back-end code for various products beyond the tank gauge, including CDM, WebUI, PlusView, and related infrastructure.

• Maintain infrastructure for applications such as the API and licensing services.

• Design, develop, and test the back-end components of applications, which include on-console UI, WebUI, CDM, and mobile applications.

• Architect web and application solutions that integrate with the ATG and operate independently.

• Mentor junior engineers and assist in establishing standards for internal web-focused development.

• Collaborate with front-end software engineers on solutions, problem-solving, processes, and standards.

• Engage in an Agile/Scrum team and contribute to analysis efforts.

• Serve as Scrum Master or Product Owner when necessary.

• Be involved in process improvement initiatives to ensure timely delivery of high-quality software.

• Carry out other tasks as assigned by the manager.

⛳️ Requirements

• A B.S. Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent experience is required.

• 5–7 years of experience in commercial software development, with a focus on back-end application elements.

• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve issues in an embedded environment is a plus.

• Strong understanding of web development standards and multiple JavaScript frameworks, including React and Angular, as well as mobile application frameworks like React Native.

• In-depth knowledge of the architectural requirements for web-based applications, with the ability to build or redesign them to align with current standards, business strategies, requirements, and roadmaps.

• Experience in front-end web development is a plus.

• Proficiency in Python is desirable.

• Familiarity with Agile/Scrum methodologies is required.

• Experience with embedded systems is a nice-to-have.

• Strong knowledge of Linux Embedded operating systems and Linux-based development tools is a plus.

• Proficiency in source control is essential.

• Knowledge of secure product development is a plus.
