Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Develops and may take the lead in application development and the underlying frameworks.

• Collaborates on and may guide application designs.

• Leads, implements, tests, and delivers new features across multiple platforms.

• Coordinates with QA to initiate and finalize testing processes.

• Designs frameworks and software standards while recommending system and software enhancements.

• Assesses and enhances application development methodologies.

• Plans for upgrades, migrations, optimizations, and new implementations.

• Identifies and resolves issues related to efficiency.

• Writes and reviews scripts, templates, interfaces, utility applications, test plans, and documentation.

• Develops, tests, troubleshoots, and documents both new and improved systems.

• Provides Level 3 support and troubleshoots system-related problems.

• Recommends standards and best practices for capacity planning, recovery, and security.

• Oversees the work of others to ensure code quality.

• Communicates status updates, issues, and decisions to management and technology leadership.

• Facilitates partner meetings to ensure alignment.

• Offers guidance to less experienced team members.

• Creates and delivers presentations and communications to colleagues.

• Performs all other assigned duties.

⛳️ Requirements

• 3+ years of experience in software coding and development.

• Extensive knowledge of SQL, modeling and databases, application servers, caching technologies, agile methodologies, application design, and testing.

• Proficiency in application design.

• Experience in application maintenance.

• Skills in implementation.

• Competence in programming.

• Familiarity with system testing.

• Understanding of the system development life cycle.

• Strong conceptual thinking abilities.

• Ability to collaborate effectively.

• Associate degree or equivalent experience.

• Preferred: Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience in MIS, computer science, or related fields.
