Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take initiative in developing and regularly redesigning/refactoring products to meet the needs of customers and associates.

• Create, deploy, and maintain production applications effectively.

• Engage in the selection, configuration, security, resilience, performance tuning, and production monitoring of tools and products.

• Develop, test, deploy, and sustain software solutions.

• Create functional, destructive, and other test suites to facilitate swift code deployment.

• Collaborate with team members utilizing agile methodologies.

• Partner with the Product Team to ensure user stories are valuable, ready for developers, comprehensible, and testable.

• Foster the growth of junior engineers by offering guidance on contemporary software development frameworks.

• Facilitate technical discussions.

• Typically report to a Software Engineer Manager or Senior Manager.

• No direct reports are assigned.

• No travel is necessary.

⛳️ Requirements

• Must be at least eighteen years of age.

• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States.

• 2-4 years of relevant work experience is preferred.

• Familiarity with front-end technologies such as HTML, CSS, and JavaScript/TypeScript frameworks is essential.

• Proficiency in an object-oriented programming language, preferably Java.

• Experience with relational or NoSQL database technologies is required.

• Knowledge of cloud computing techniques is necessary.

• Experience using CI/CD tools is important.

• Understanding of modern software design patterns is essential.

• Familiarity with security frameworks for user and service authorization and authentication is required.

• Experience in creating and executing unit, functional, destructive, and performance tests is essential.

• Proficiency in modern debugging and root cause analysis techniques is necessary.

• Experience with a version control system is important.

• A Bachelor's degree or an equivalent qualification in a relevant field is required.

• A minimum of 3 years of work experience is necessary.

• Leadership experience is not required.
