Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Take ownership of backend services and technical solutions, overseeing them from design to production support.

• Address ambiguous challenges, create practical solutions, and decompose complex tasks into high-quality deliverables.

• Troubleshoot intricate technical issues, enhance system reliability, and proactively resolve engineering pain points.

• Utilize modern engineering tools, including AI-assisted development workflows, to boost productivity, problem-solving abilities, and software quality.

• Develop automation and internal tools that minimize developer toil and expedite engineering velocity.

• Participate in architecture discussions, design reviews, and technical decision-making across various teams.

• Guide fellow engineers, share insights, and promote mindful engineering practices and ongoing improvement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a closely related field, or equivalent hands-on experience.

• Over 5 years of experience building backend systems using object-oriented programming languages such as C#, Java, Python, Go, or similar.

• Proven experience in designing, constructing, and managing backend services, APIs, or distributed systems in live production settings.

• Strong grasp of data modeling, relational database design, query optimization, and working with ORMs like Entity Framework, Hibernate, SQLAlchemy, or similar.

• Experience in writing automated tests and creating reliable software with a keen focus on correctness, maintainability, and edge cases.

• Background in debugging complex technical issues and navigating production challenges within real-world systems.

• Familiarity with cloud platforms such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.

• Knowledge of containerization, CI/CD workflows, observability, or deployment pipelines.

• Experience with modern engineering tools, including AI-assisted development workflows.

• Ability to demonstrate sound judgment, work pragmatically, take ownership, collaborate effectively, and contribute to design and code reviews.
