Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Virginia.

📋 Description

• Design and maintain scalable web applications utilizing TypeScript, JavaScript, Python, Nest.js, Node.js, and Angular.

• Create reusable frontend components and responsive user experiences that align with enterprise UX standards.

• Develop backend microservices and APIs that support high-volume financial workloads.

• Integrate large language models into production applications.

• Create intelligent assistants, copilots, workflow automation tools, and conversational experiences.

• Apply prompt engineering, model evaluation, guardrails, and best practices in AI governance.

• Construct semantic search utilizing embeddings, metadata filtering, and hybrid search methods.

• Continuously optimize, evaluate, and monitor response quality.

• Develop secure RESTful APIs, GraphQL services, and event-driven integrations.

• Design scalable microservices architecture patterns.

• Develop agent-based workflows using LangChain, LangGraph, or similar frameworks.

• Integrate AI agents with enterprise systems, APIs, databases, and third-party financial platforms.

• Design multi-step workflows for complex business operations.

• Implement OAuth2, OpenID Connect, and Single Sign-On authentication and authorization.

• Ensure compliance with enterprise security, data privacy, responsible AI, and model governance standards.

• Deploy and manage workloads on Azure, AWS, or Google Cloud.

• Implement CI/CD, Infrastructure as Code, containerization, and Kubernetes deployments.

• Monitor application performance, AI costs, reliability, and operational metrics.

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Solution Architects, Data Engineers, Security teams, and business stakeholders.

• Translate business requirements into scalable technical solutions.

• Contribute to decisions regarding technical architecture and engineering standards.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong expertise in TypeScript, JavaScript, Java, and Python.

• Experience in frontend development with Angular, Micro Frontends, and modern frontend architectures.

• Proficient in backend development with Node.js, Nest.js, Java Spring/JPA, FastAPI, or similar frameworks.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, microservices, large-scale data processing, and event-driven architecture using Kafka/Pulsar and Spark.

• Experience with ELT/ETL processes, relational/NoSQL DBMS, vector databases, and cloud data platform integrations such as dbt, Dagster, Airbyte, and Snowflake.

• Knowledge of CI/CD, infrastructure containerization, GitHub, Jenkins, ArgoCD, Docker, and Kubernetes.

• Experience with distributed systems tracing, metrics, and logging tools like Splunk, Grafana, Loki, Prometheus, or equivalents.

• Familiarity with AI stack technologies including Claude Code, GraphRAG/Advanced RAG, MCP, LangChain/LangGraph, pgvector/Pinecone, DeepEval/Ragas/Arize Phoenix, and LangSmith/Langfuse or similar tools.

• Over 5 years of software engineering experience covering both frontend and backend development.

• Practical experience in implementing AI-driven applications in production settings.

• Proven ability to build enterprise-grade solutions that support critical business processes.

• Exceptional analytical and critical thinking abilities.

• Strong verbal and written communication skills.

• Familiarity with monitoring and observability tools such as Splunk, Grafana, Loki, and Prometheus (preferred/desirable).

• Experience in Financial Services, Banking, alternative asset management, or FinTech industries (preferred/desirable).

• Knowledge of data pipelines and Data Lakehouse designs (preferred/desirable).
