Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, and manage scalable, high-performance services and applications utilizing C# and .NET.

• Assume independent responsibility for intricate technical projects from the initial design phase to production deployment and ongoing enhancements.

• Participate in architectural decision-making for distributed systems, APIs, cloud services, and event-driven architectures.

• Lead platform modernization efforts while balancing the needs of delivery, operational risks, technical debt, and long-term sustainability.

• Provide mentorship to engineers through code reviews, collaborative work, design direction, and constructive feedback.

• Propel advancements in reliability, security, observability, performance, testing, and engineering methodologies.

• Work in partnership with product, engineering, and business stakeholders to align technical choices with customer and organizational objectives.

• Develop expertise in competition management, tournament operations, scheduling, results, statistics, and digital engagement.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 15 years of professional experience in software development, including managing business-critical production systems.

• Advanced knowledge of C#, .NET, APIs, asynchronous programming, performance, testing, and contemporary software design methodologies.

• Established track record in designing and managing distributed systems in production environments using cloud platforms and modern architectural patterns.

• Demonstrated independent ownership of complex projects, encompassing architecture, delivery, production operations, and incident learning.

• A solid history of mentoring engineers and conducting technical assessments that are straightforward, constructive, and beneficial.

• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical stakeholders, including explaining trade-offs and fostering consensus around challenging decisions.

• Experience in sports technology, competition management platforms, enterprise SaaS, or similarly complex operational fields.

• Proven expertise in the Snooker domain, encompassing competition structures, tournament formats, scheduling, scoring, results, statistics, and operational workflows.
