Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, implement, and enhance services and components with an emphasis on performance, scalability, and maintainability.

• Engage in architectural discussions by assessing trade-offs and documenting decisions in ADRs and technical evaluations.

• Maintain quality through automated testing, code reviews, and adherence to consistent engineering practices.

• Focus on observability and reliability by utilizing metrics, logs, tracing, and conducting incident analysis and resolution.

• Collaborate with Product, QA, and other teams to outline technical scope and decompose deliverables.

• Offer technical guidance to junior engineers, sharing best practices and internal framework standards.

• Participate in the AI Squad, contributing to the design, evolution, and maintenance of essential platform components.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience in software development for products.

• Proficient in Java and Python, along with their libraries and tools ecosystems.

• Extensive knowledge of relational databases, including modeling, query optimization, and indexing.

• Experience with various DBMSs is an advantage.

• Familiarity with REST APIs, system integrations, and messaging protocols.

• Experience with CI/CD processes, Git version control, and a culture of automation.

• Ability to articulate technical decisions effectively, both in written and spoken formats.

• Experience with generative AI applications and LLM integrations is a plus.

• Understanding of RAG architectures, including chunking, indexing strategies, reranking, and response quality assessment, is advantageous.

• Experience with vector databases and semantic search technologies, such as pgvector, OpenSearch/Elasticsearch k-NN, Qdrant, Milvus, Weaviate, or similar, as well as embedding models, is beneficial.

• Familiarity with agents, tool orchestration, and integration protocols like MCP and function calling is advantageous.

• Knowledge of evaluation and guardrails for AI systems is a plus.

• Experience with containers and orchestration tools like Docker and Kubernetes, along with observability platforms, is beneficial.

• Understanding application security principles, including OWASP, SAST/DAST, and vulnerability management, is a plus.
