Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Develop, enhance, and deploy new functionalities and features for the platform and portal.

• Improve the user experience for veterinary clinics and pet owners throughout the platform.

• Write code and carry out technical tasks that support marketing, sales, and customer service efforts.

• Test, monitor, and manage the wellness platform to guarantee its reliability and performance.

• Engage in daily collaboration through pairing sessions, meetings, and discussions on Slack.

• Facilitate technical discussions to outline product and technical strategies.

• Take charge of special projects and initiatives.

• Oversee feature delivery from initial concept through to production.

⛳️ Requirements

• Minimum of 6 years of professional software engineering experience.

• Proficient in both JavaScript and TypeScript in production settings.

• Strong expertise in ReactJS, NodeJS, Tailwind, PostgreSQL, and AWS.

• Capable of designing, coding, and testing full-stack web applications from the database to the user interface, with a focus on scalability and performance.

• Comfortable leading in-depth technical discussions and making informed engineering decisions regarding system design/architecture or user experience.

• A proactive team player who takes initiative, communicates effectively, and delivers work efficiently.

• Experience in building and scaling SaaS products.

• Background in early-stage startups (Series A/B).

• Familiarity with healthcare or veterinary technology.

• Proven experience collaborating cross-functionally with non-technical teams.

• Demonstrated history of owning features from conception to production.

• Passion for pets and a good understanding of the veterinary industry.

• Residing in the USA or Ontario, Canada.

• Must live near an airport or have the flexibility to travel quarterly.
