Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and improve back-end applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot

• Create and refine scalable, secure, and highly available RESTful APIs

• Engage in defining technical solutions, supporting architectural choices and product development

• Develop and enhance microservices along with distributed systems

• Evaluate complex issues and suggest solutions that prioritize quality, performance, security, and scalability

• Create unit tests and assist in quality strategies for distributed applications

• Perform code reviews, advocate for best practices, and aid in the team's technical growth

• Work with messaging and event-driven architectures utilizing Apache Kafka

• Contribute to Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) processes

• Assist in the containerization, orchestration, and cloud deployment of applications

• Support observability and monitoring efforts to facilitate the identification and resolution of failures

• Collaborate with Product Managers, Analysts, Architects, and other stakeholders

• Operate within multidisciplinary teams employing Scrum and Kanban methodologies

• Aid in the ongoing evolution of products, processes, and engineering methodologies

⛳️ Requirements

• Robust experience in developing back-end applications using Java and Spring Boot

• Proven experience in building and enhancing scalable, secure, and highly available RESTful APIs

• Advanced understanding of both relational and non-relational databases, including data modeling and performance optimization

• Experience with microservices architecture and distributed systems

• Strong grasp of SOLID principles, Clean Code, design patterns, and conducting code reviews

• Familiarity with test-driven development, including unit testing and quality strategies for distributed applications

• Knowledge of messaging and event-driven architecture, particularly with Apache Kafka

• Experience with containerization and orchestration through Kubernetes

• Proficient in Git and modern collaborative development methods

• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines using tools like Jenkins

• Familiarity with Consul for service discovery and configuration management

• Experience with AWS services, especially ECS, SQS, and S3

• Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry

• Proven experience in multidisciplinary teams using Scrum and Kanban

• Active involvement in defining technical solutions and contributing to architectural decisions

• Collaborative work with Product Managers, Analysts, Architects, and other stakeholders

• Ability to assess complex issues and propose scalable solutions
