Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil.

📋 Description

• Design, maintain, and enhance back-end applications utilizing Java and Spring Boot.

• Create and develop scalable, secure, and highly available RESTful APIs.

• Engage actively in defining technical solutions, supporting architectural choices, and driving product evolution.

• Design and improve microservices and distributed systems.

• Examine complex issues and propose solutions that focus on quality, performance, security, and scalability.

• Write unit tests and assist in establishing quality strategies for distributed applications.

• Perform code reviews, advocate for software engineering best practices, and aid in the technical development of the team.

• Collaborate with messaging and event-driven architecture utilizing Apache Kafka.

• Aid in the advancement of Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines.

• Support application containerization, orchestration, and deployment within cloud environments.

• Enhance application observability and monitoring, facilitating the identification and resolution of failures.

• Partner with Product Managers, Analysts, Architects, and other stakeholders to create solutions that provide business value.

• Operate within multidisciplinary teams employing agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

• Contribute to the ongoing enhancement of the team's products, processes, and engineering practices.

⛳️ Requirements

• Strong experience in developing back-end applications with Java and Spring Boot.

• Proven experience in building and enhancing scalable, secure, and highly available RESTful APIs.

• Advanced understanding of relational and non-relational databases, including data modeling and performance optimization techniques.

• Familiarity with microservices architecture and distributed systems.

• Strong grasp of software engineering best practices, including SOLID principles, Clean Code, design patterns, and code reviews.

• Experience with test-driven development, encompassing unit testing and quality strategies for distributed applications.

• Knowledge of messaging and event-driven architecture, particularly with Apache Kafka.

• Experience in application containerization and orchestration using Kubernetes.

• Proficiency with version control systems like Git and modern collaborative development methodologies.

• Experience with Continuous Integration and Continuous Delivery (CI/CD) pipelines using tools such as Jenkins.

• Familiarity with Consul for service discovery and configuration management.

• Experience with AWS services, particularly ECS, SQS, and S3.

• Knowledge of observability and monitoring tools like Dynatrace, Prometheus, Grafana, and OpenTelemetry.

• Experience working in multidisciplinary teams utilizing agile methodologies such as Scrum and Kanban.

• Active involvement in defining technical solutions, supporting architectural decisions, and driving product evolution.

• Close collaboration with Product Managers, Analysts, Architects, and other stakeholders to create solutions that deliver business value.
