This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Texas.
• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain software applications and services.
• Take ownership of delivering complex features, services, or components independently.
• Collaborate with product managers, designers, and engineers to convert business and user needs into technical solutions.
• Contribute to system and solution design, architectural decisions, technical trade-offs, and implementation strategies.
• Utilize AI-assisted development tools for coding, debugging, documentation, testing, and analysis.
• Engage in code reviews and uphold coding, quality, and secure development standards.
• Diagnose and resolve software defects, performance issues, and reliability challenges.
• Participate in all stages of the software development lifecycle.
• Develop and maintain unit tests, integration tests, and other validation methods.
• Implement software design principles, patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
• Enhance development workflows, automation, observability, and engineering efficiency.
• Investigate AI and machine learning capabilities and suggest practical applications.
• Mentor junior engineers by providing technical guidance and feedback on code reviews.
• Contribute to continuous improvement, responsible AI usage, collaboration, and technical excellence.
• At least 5+ years of relevant and related professional experience.
• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent years of relevant experience.
• Occasional travel, up to 5-10%, for important events such as team summits, training sessions, and conferences.
• This position is subject to the company's on-call policies, which may include working hours outside the standard workday as required.
• Additional experience may substitute for an advanced degree.
• Proficiency in one or more programming languages such as TypeScript, Java, C#, Python, or other relevant technology stacks.
• Experience in delivering production-grade software and independently managing significant features or technical components.
• Capability to tackle problems of diverse scope, assess technical issues, and apply sound judgment to identify effective solutions.
• Experience with AI-assisted development tools for coding, testing, debugging, documentation, or analysis.
• Ability to use AI tools responsibly, considering security, privacy, reliability, maintainability, and appropriate human oversight.
• Familiarity with version control, CI/CD pipelines, code reviews, and Agile or Kanban methodologies.
• Strong grasp of software design principles, patterns, algorithms, and data structures.
• Familiarity with SQL and database concepts; hands-on database experience is preferred.
• Knowledge of OWASP threats and mitigation techniques as well as secure coding practices.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective written and verbal communication skills for collaboration with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment with minimal day-to-day supervision.
