Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, deploy, and maintain scalable and reliable platform services as well as shared libraries.

• Participate in the decision-making processes regarding platform and system architecture with a focus on reliability, scalability, and enhancing the developer experience.

• Produce high-quality, maintainable code while adhering to strong engineering practices.

• Collaborate with Staff Engineers and colleagues to establish standards and patterns that promote Continuous Delivery.

• Recognize and resolve performance, scalability, and reliability challenges within platform services.

• Engage in design reviews, code reviews, and technical discussions.

• Enhance monitoring, alerting, and incident response methodologies.

• Analyze production root causes and implement long-term solutions to lessen the on-call workload.

• Guide junior and mid-level engineers through code reviews, pairing, and technical mentorship.

• Work in partnership with cross-functional teams to deliver significant business and customer value.

• Actively suggest improvements.

• Thoughtfully employ AI tools to minimize manual efforts and expedite decision-making.

⛳️ Requirements

• 7-8 years of relevant software engineering experience, holding a bachelor's degree, or a master's degree with an equivalent mix of education and experience.

• Extensive experience in software development, particularly focused on backend systems and services.

• Proficient in Java, C#, C++, or other similar backend programming languages.

• Strong understanding of software design principles, data structures, and algorithms.

• Proven experience in building and managing scalable, reliable, and secure systems.

• Over 3 years of experience in designing, building, deploying, and maintaining container-based applications.

• More than 4 years of experience working with cloud platforms like AWS, GCP, or Azure.

• Familiarity with Continuous Delivery methods and automated deployment pipelines.

• Strong analytical and debugging skills.

• Excellent communication and collaboration abilities.

• Experience in mentoring junior engineers and contributing to technical leadership at the team level.

• Working knowledge of secure development practices and security considerations in distributed systems.

• Open to experimenting with AI tools and eager to learn.
