Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.

📋 Description

• Design and implement intricate, scalable systems that encompass multi-service integrations, high-traffic APIs, and data processing pipelines.

• Take ownership of significant features or complete components from initial conception to production support.

• Make informed technical decisions that balance engineering trade-offs, business obligations, delivery schedules, and customer impact.

• Lead technical discussions and shape architectural decisions.

• Establish architectural patterns, standards, best practices, documentation, and knowledge-transfer methodologies.

• Promote AI-driven workflows using tools such as Cursor, Copilot, and Claude Code.

• Facilitate story refinement sessions with Product Owners to assess estimation and risk.

• Collaborate with product, design, and QA teams to provide business-centric solutions.

• Conduct Agile ceremonies and enhance delivery predictability.

• Identify and address technical debt and areas for system enhancement.

• Advocate for TDD/BDD, automated testing, shift-left testing, and quality governance.

• Oversee security implementation and perform security reviews.

• Establish development tools and team practices.

• Lead troubleshooting efforts for intricate software issues and production incidents.

• Mentor junior and mid-level engineers.

• Set code review standards and conduct thorough reviews of complex features.

• Drive continuous improvement and responsible AI integration.

• Contribute to the evolution of AI-powered platforms and the delivery of full-stack web applications.

• Work with UI frameworks, .NET Core backends, cloud-native technologies, and containerized scalable web products.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5–7 years of professional experience in software development.

• Strong expertise in modern UI frameworks such as Angular, React, Vue.js, or Blazor, including performance optimization and component architecture, or a solid understanding with backend specialization.

• Strong proficiency in .NET Core, C#, ASP.NET Core Web APIs, REST, application architectures, and distributed systems.

• Comprehensive knowledge of SQL, NoSQL, and data architecture considerations.

• Experience with AI-first software engineering workflows.

• Familiarity with integrating AI tools like Cursor, Copilot, Devin, or Claude Code.

• Advanced implementation of observability with DataDog, Application Insights, or Amazon CloudWatch.

• Infrastructure as Code experience with Terraform, Bicep, ARM Templates, or AWS CloudFormation/CDK.

• Proven experience in designing comprehensive CI/CD architectures and deployment strategies.

• Strong proficiency in SaaS cloud architecture utilizing Azure or AWS services.

• Extensive experience with containerization using Docker or Kubernetes, including production-scale deployments.

• Expertise in clean architecture, SOLID design principles, and domain-driven design.

• Experience in promoting TDD/BDD adoption and implementing thorough automated testing.

• Background in developing highly scalable, internet-facing solutions serving millions of users.

• Experience in profiling and benchmarking applications.

• Confidence in managing vulnerabilities, threat modeling, and monitoring.

• Knowledge of observability and production support practices.

• Proven track record of delivering complex, multi-system solutions.

• Demonstrated technical leadership through architectural decisions, mentoring, and cross-team collaboration.

• History of establishing standards and influencing technology choices.

• Active mentoring experience with junior and mid-level engineers.

• Experience in leading technical initiatives that span multiple sprints or quarters.

• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.

• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.

• Technical leadership and influence without formal authority.

• Ability to coach others through mentoring and knowledge sharing.

• Collaborative mindset across Engineering, Platform, and Quality teams.

• Conflict resolution skills for managing technical disagreements and cross-team coordination.

• Desirable: experience in regulated or complex domains, prompt engineering, Model Context Protocol, advanced Datadog/APM, micro-frontends, SSR/SSG, OAuth2, OIDC, RBAC, event-driven architectures, DevOps automation, or advanced Azure/AWS certifications.
