Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Colombia.

📋 Description

• Develop high-performance services utilizing .NET 8+, C#, and ASP.NET Core Minimal APIs within a distributed microservices framework tailored for mobile clients.

• Create and execute scalable asynchronous pipelines by employing message-bus architectures and distributed pub/sub systems.

• Design and oversee secure integration endpoints, which encompass webhooks, event ingestion pipelines, and third-party data streams.

• Influence data strategies across contemporary cloud storage and on-premise databases, focusing on data modeling, query optimization, synchronization methods, and data integrity.

• Construct and deploy in containerized environments such as Azure Container Apps and Kubernetes.

• Utilize infrastructure as code and application performance monitoring to sustain service health and efficiency.

• Recognize architectural obstacles and capability deficiencies, proposing alternatives such as caching solutions or API gateway enhancements.

• Collaborate with Strategy, Creative, and Client teams to translate intricate business needs into actionable technical solutions for mobile applications.

• Mentor the engineering team and establish best practices for backend and platform development.

• Remain updated with the .NET and cloud-native ecosystem, advocating for tools and frameworks that enhance quality, scalability, and developer productivity.

⛳️ Requirements

• This position is remote within Colombia.

• A minimum of 5 years of practical experience with C#, .NET (Core/.NET 8+), and ASP.NET Core, focusing on building backend and distributed systems for high-concurrency applications.

• Demonstrated experience in designing decoupled systems utilizing event-driven communication patterns, including managing event flow, state, and consistency in complex distributed settings.

• Proven expertise in developing production webhook systems, which include signature verification, idempotency, and retry mechanisms.

• Established experience with Entity Framework Core, Dapper, Azure SQL Server, and Azure Cosmos DB.

• Practical experience with a container-first architecture and Azure services like Event Hubs, Key Vault, Blob Storage, and Managed Identity.

• Capability to manage the infrastructure-as-code deployment lifecycle.

• Familiarity with APM platforms such as Dynatrace, New Relic, or Datadog.

• Proficient in structured logging with Serilog and implementing health check endpoints for service readiness.

• Experience with defensive coding methodologies and libraries such as Polly.

• Proficiency in xUnit testing, including tools like Moq, NSubstitute, and FluentAssertions.

• Experience in integration testing using WebApplicationFactory and security scanning tools such as StackHawk or CodeQL is advantageous.

• Familiarity with OpenAPI and code generation tools like TypeSpec or similar.

• Ability to articulate complex technical trade-offs to non-technical stakeholders clearly.

• Candidates with a degree in Engineering or a related field must present their professional license if selected.
