Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +1 more country.

📋 Description

• Lead the technical execution and address significant distribution challenges.

• Develop systems for the upcoming decade and create highly scalable, resilient architectures.

• Facilitate low-latency conversational experiences, intricate microservices orchestration, and real-time machine learning processing.

• Collaborate with various engineering teams through a cohesive selection process.

• Assess team placement based on expertise, interests, and hiring requirements during the final stage.

• Engage in application evaluations, CV screenings, recruiter interviews, live coding assessments, architecture discussions, technical leadership interviews, and offer negotiations.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 10 years of experience in software development, spearheading the delivery of high-volume, high-concurrency, and mission-critical distributed systems.

• Extensive knowledge of contemporary software architecture paradigms, distributed data consistency, fault tolerance, and system optimization.

• Familiarity with data-intensive applications and a readiness to design architectures that accommodate Machine Learning/AI functionalities at scale.

• Proven capability to analyze and clearly communicate engineering trade-offs.

• Demonstrated skill in overcoming collaboration barriers, leading challenging structural discussions, and nurturing an inclusive engineering culture.

• Proficiency in Portuguese and excellent English skills (required).

• Previous experience in designing architectures that seamlessly integrate with LLMs, multi-agent AI systems, or high-volume data pipelines.

• Strong expertise in FinOps and cost optimization for high-throughput cloud environments.

• Solid experience in transitioning legacy monolithic systems to highly decoupled, event-driven architectures.

• Familiarity with, or adaptability to, Java, Kotlin, Node.js, Go, Python, React, AWS, and AI tools like Claude Code is pertinent to the technology landscape.
