Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in New Zealand.

📋 Description

• Act as an integral member of an agile team.

• Implement software updates and technical modifications to EverWell products.

• Address technical and delivery obstacles.

• Assist technical leadership in planning and defining the scope of strategic technical initiatives.

• Engage in software design and product development.

• Validate solutions to deliver customer value promptly.

• Advocate for and enhance software standards.

• Recognize and resolve maintenance challenges and technical debt.

• Execute changes as prioritized by the product owner.

• Take part in incident response and on-call teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 6 years of experience in software engineering or a similar role.

• Proven experience in developing SaaS software.

• Strong proficiency and familiarity with .NET and API Design.

• Previous experience with migration to .NET Core is preferred.

• Familiarity with AI-assisted development strategies and agentic workflows.

• Knowledge of agile methodologies, including small iterations, reduced work-in-progress, experimentation, and DevOps principles.

• Experience with feature flagging and partial deployments.

• Experience with Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) platforms like Azure or AWS.

• Capability to collaborate effectively with team members.

• Strong collaborative abilities across product and engineering teams.

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

• Ability to convey technical concepts to non-technical audiences and manage stakeholder expectations.

• Support for collaborative programming practices.

• Demonstrated experience in coaching and mentoring junior engineers.

• Empathetic approach with the ability to give constructive, clear feedback.

• Curiosity and aptitude for problem-solving.

• Must have legal eligibility to work in New Zealand.
