Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Germany, +3 more countries.

📋 Description

• Design and implement APIs that deliver essential capabilities for Enfuce clients

• Architect and create mission-critical APIs and systems

• Develop the next-generation cloud-native modular API

• Produce high-quality, scalable code

• Take ownership of key deliverables and impactful projects from inception to deployment

• Shape the technical direction of the platform

• Contribute to the scalability and success of Enfuce

• Create solutions that support flexible, scalable, and secure payment offerings

• Engage in code reviews

• Coach and mentor fellow engineers

⛳️ Requirements

• Highly skilled in developing robust, scalable Java services

• Practical experience in designing, building, and operating applications in AWS

• Background in constructing high-performance applications utilizing the Spring framework

• Proficient in SQL, preferably with Oracle, Aurora, or Postgres databases

• Possess a growth mindset and a curiosity to understand card issuing and the payments sector

• Exceptional communication skills in English

• Strong collaboration abilities

• Willingness and capability to coach and mentor other engineers

• Competence in providing constructive feedback during code reviews

• Nice to have: experience in the payments industry

• Nice to have: familiarity with OpenAPI documentation standards

• Nice to have: expertise in Test-Driven Development using JUnit

• Nice to have: experience in building AWS cloud infrastructure using AWS CDK

• Nice to have: experience with Generative AI or AI agents
