Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Costa Rica.

📋 Description

• Develop, assess, and sustain essential production systems, primarily utilizing Go.

• Advance DevOps methodologies, encompassing CI/CD, Kubernetes, and infrastructure automation.

• Establish benchmarks for reliability, security, and observability, guaranteeing features operate efficiently at scale.

• Oversee technical debt and make architectural decisions that align with business expansion.

• Create proofs-of-concept and assist with intricate client integrations.

• Work collaboratively with Product teams, clients, and internal stakeholders to design and implement platform features.

• Provide technical mentorship through code evaluations, design documentation, and hands-on assistance for global teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• Over 5 years of experience in designing, building, and managing complex software systems at scale.

• Expertise in Go (Golang), focusing on idiomatic, concurrent, and high-performance coding.

• Proficiency in cloud-native technologies with Kubernetes and Infrastructure-as-Code using Terraform or CloudFormation.

• Extensive experience with AWS or GCP, including managed services, networking, and cloud security.

• Solid background in distributed systems, particularly microservices, asynchronous messaging, and data consistency.

• Demonstrated experience with CI/CD automation and observability tools such as New Relic, Prometheus, or ELK.

• Capability to clearly articulate complex technical roadmaps to non-technical stakeholders.

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline, or equivalent practical experience.

• Preferred knowledge of LLMs, prompt engineering, model evaluation pipelines, and model quality/reliability techniques.

• Familiarity with JavaScript, React, TypeScript, Python, Ruby on Rails, DynamoDB, DocumentDB, Postgres, GitHub Actions, Grafana, AWS, GCP, or Azure as indicated in the current technology stack.
