Senior Software Engineer

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Poland.

📋 Description

• Design and develop the core services that power the product, encompassing APIs, data models, and integrations.

• Make architectural choices that will influence the system for years to come.

• Take ownership of substantial segments of the product from design through to production.

• Assume responsibility for on-call duties and incident response.

• Collaborate with Product and Design teams to refine requirements and ensure the product performs well under real-world conditions.

• Establish the technical benchmarks for maintainable code through implementation, reviews, and mentorship.

• Lead architectural and technical decisions during the foundational development of the product.

• Guide other engineers and enhance practices related to testing, instrumentation, and code quality.

⛳️ Requirements

• 5+ years of professional experience in relevant fields.

• Proven history of managing production systems, not merely delivering features.

• Proficient in Rust, Go, Java, or Kotlin; production experience with Rust is highly preferred.

• Demonstrated expertise in designing REST APIs at scale, including contract management and versioning strategies.

• Extensive experience with AWS or similar platforms, containers, and CI/CD, including building or fortifying these systems.

• Familiarity with AI coding tools like Claude Code and sound judgment in assessing their outputs.

• Experience in mentoring engineers and/or spearheading technical projects.

• Strong command of written and spoken English.

• Independent work ethic.

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience.

• Nice to have: experience with payment systems such as SEPA, SWIFT, or ACH, or card issuing.

• Nice to have: knowledge of regulated fintech, including PSD2, KYC/AML, or PCI DSS.

• Nice to have: familiarity with crypto custody, on-chain settlement, or stablecoin transactions.

• Nice to have: experience with monitoring and analytics tools such as Sentry or New Relic.

• Nice to have: experience in setting the technical direction or architecture for a product from its inception.

• Nice to have: solid understanding of blockchain fundamentals, including ERC20, RPC nodes, and UTXO vs account models.
