Senior Software Engineer

📋 Description

• Take ownership of complex engineering challenges from conception to delivery and assessment of results.

• Collaborate with product managers to define problems, conduct experiments, and integrate customer feedback.

• Strengthen critical pathways, mitigate incident types, and create abstractions for team utilization.

• Evaluate high-risk changes.

• Identify risks early and safeguard suitable trade-offs.

• Share insights about AI with the team.

• Formulate registry recommendations and validate them through live testing.

• Develop evaluation systems to identify hallucinations in the AI support agent.

• Establish a unified source of truth for children's information across various products.

• Utilize Rails, MySQL, React, TypeScript, AWS, machine learning, AI tools, and infrastructure systems.

• Work collaboratively with product, design, data, business partners, and customers through interviews, session recordings, and support ride-alongs.

⛳️ Requirements

• Several years of experience with production systems.

• Capability to tackle ambiguous issues and initiate progress without having the full context.

• A well-rounded engineering background encompassing backend, frontend, and data systems.

• Quick adaptability to unfamiliar areas of the technology stack.

• Proficiency in applying AI within engineering tasks.

• The technical screening is language-agnostic and does not allow the use of AI.

• Capability to engage in AI-assisted coding with the tools utilized at Babylist.
