AI Architect

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Illinois.

📋 Description

• Take charge of enterprise AI architecture and governance for the EHR platform.

• Establish reference patterns and solution blueprints for LLM applications, RAG, classical ML, and AI-enabled services.

• Lead decisions regarding platforms and tools for Azure AI, Databricks, and data orchestration.

• Develop reusable accelerators such as a RAG starter kit, evaluation harness, and prompt library.

• Incorporate HIPAA-compliant PHI/PII safeguards into the software development lifecycle (SDLC) and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD) processes.

• Define responsible AI release criteria, which includes bias and fairness assessments, model cards, and red-teaming.

• Manage the AI architecture review process.

• Collaborate with security and compliance teams on risk assessments and policy revisions.

• Provide guidance to engineering teams on prompt design, grounding strategies, and modernization of legacy code.

• Mentor developers on Azure AI Foundry and the secure usage of Microsoft Copilot and GitHub Copilot.

• Document architecture decision records.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Computer Information Systems, Health Informatics, or a related discipline.

• Over 10 years of experience in software or solution architecture.

• More than 5 years of experience in AI/ML systems.

• At least 2 years of experience leading enterprise AI architecture or platform projects.

• Practical experience with Azure AI Foundry and OpenAI or Anthropic models.

• Experience in fine-tuning and deploying generative models.

• Proficient in integrating AI into .NET applications.

• Experience in the healthcare domain, particularly in claims processing or revenue cycle management, or in a regulated environment.

• Knowledge of HIPAA, PHI/PII management, and responsible AI principles.

• Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis without current or future visa sponsorship.
