Senior Software Engineer – AI Data Infrastructure

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Brazil, +3 more states.

📋 Description

• Design and develop scalable systems, with a focus on the company’s expert platform.

• Manage projects from inception to completion, covering technical design, implementation, and deployment.

• Enhance infrastructure that supports AI training data and evaluation processes.

• Create human-in-the-loop platforms, annotator workflows, and associated tools.

• Address challenges related to scalability, reliability, and distributed systems.

• Work in collaboration with research, product, and design teams to rapidly deliver features while maintaining quality.

• Write clean, maintainable code and contribute to the creation of technical documentation.

• Engage in code reviews and discussions around technical design.

• Make practical trade-offs among speed, simplicity, reliability, and maintainability.

• Proactively identify issues and drive independent solutions.

• Take charge of significant engineering projects and oversee them from design through to production.

• Enhance the scalability and reliability of essential platform components.

• Foster strong collaborative relationships across engineering, research, product, and design teams.

⛳️ Requirements

• A minimum of 5 years of professional software engineering experience is preferred.

• Strong foundational skills in coding with Node.js and TypeScript, Python, and/or Go.

• Profound understanding of distributed systems, scalability, and system architecture.

• Experience with cloud service platforms such as AWS or GCP.

• Familiarity with Kubernetes, APIs, and NoSQL databases.

• Strong analytical skills to evaluate technical trade-offs and effectively balance speed with reliability.

• Active GitHub profile showcasing real projects that reflect a strong builder mentality.

• Ability to work independently while effectively collaborating with a high-performing engineering team.

• Proactive in identifying issues and implementing solutions with minimal guidance.

• Possess a high-accountability mindset and the ability to perform well in a fast-paced startup environment.

• Strong inclination towards simple solutions for complex challenges.

• Excellent written and verbal communication abilities.

• Capacity to clearly express your motivation for joining an early-stage startup and working in AI at this time.

• Fluent spoken and written English for client-facing interactions (C1–C2 level).
