AI Engineer, German – GenAI, Agentic AI

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in Romania.

📋 Description

• Develop agentic AI systems that comprehend documents, facilitate decision-making, and perform actions within enterprise systems.

• Create production-ready GenAI and agentic AI solutions that organize tasks, utilize tools, and prepare or carry out enterprise actions.

• Construct RAG pipelines and extraction techniques to organize and validate data from documents, emails, and forms.

• Integrate data and streaming platforms such as Databricks, Snowflake, Microsoft Fabric, and Kafka with AI applications.

• Design robust backends and APIs.

• Incorporate AI components into existing system architectures via REST, events, or MCP.

• Quantify AI output quality through automated assessments, guardrails, tracing, and human-in-the-loop workflows.

• Maintain software quality through testing, code reviews, logging, and monitoring.

• Utilize AI-assisted development tools in daily operations.

• Automate infrastructure and deployments using Infrastructure as Code and CI/CD on AWS, Azure, Google Cloud, sovereign, or on-premises platforms.

• Collaborate with architects, business stakeholders, and client teams.

• Clearly document designs and interfaces.

• Share knowledge within the team.

⛳️ Requirements

• A degree in computer science, business informatics, data science, mathematics, engineering, or a related field, or an equivalent qualification obtained through professional experience.

• A minimum of 5 years of professional experience in software development.

• At least 1–2 years of practical experience with LLM-based applications beyond the prototype phase.

• Strong proficiency in Python.

• Competence in at least one additional enterprise technology language: Java, C#, or .NET.

• Experience in developing APIs and interfaces.

• Hands-on experience with agentic AI frameworks like LangGraph, LlamaIndex, Pydantic AI, or model-provider agent SDKs.

• Familiarity with RAG, vector databases, and MCP.

• Practical experience with at least one cloud platform: AWS, Microsoft Azure, or Google Cloud.

• Knowledge of containers and Infrastructure as Code, such as Terraform.

• Experience with CI/CD tools like GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, or Azure DevOps.

• Background in test automation, error handling, and systematic root-cause analysis.

• A strong commitment to assessing AI system quality and outcomes.

• Business-fluent German at a minimum C1 level.

• Proficient in English.

• Experience with open-weight models and their operation, fine-tuning, or sovereign cloud environments is a plus.

• Familiarity with document and information extraction, OCR, layout analysis, and multimodal models is an advantage.

• Experience in regulated industries is beneficial.

• Cloud or AI certifications are an additional advantage.
