Senior Software Engineer, AI Agent Compute

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in California, +1 more state.

📋 Description

• Spearhead initiatives for the cloud VM platform, overseeing everything from architecture and system design to implementation, testing, and deployment.

• Create, develop, and manage scalable services that support secure, isolated workloads for agents.

• Automate processes for infrastructure provisioning, VM lifecycle management, application delivery, configuration, monitoring, and remediation.

• Partner with engineering teams across NVIDIA to convert business and AI workflow requirements into reliable platform functionalities.

• Enhance platform reliability, scalability, observability, performance, and operational efficiency.

• Elevate standards for code quality, testing, documentation, infrastructure security, and readiness for production.

• Construct and evolve NVIDIA’s agent compute delivery platform along with a tailored cloud VM solution for agent sandboxing.

• Facilitate scalable and secure implementations of full agentic use cases and AI workflows.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related discipline—or equivalent professional experience.

• Over 8 years of experience in software, platform, infrastructure, or cloud engineering, emphasizing backend or distributed systems.

• In-depth knowledge of distributed-systems principles, including service communication, asynchronous processing, failure management, retries, idempotency, and eventual consistency.

• Proficiency with PostgreSQL and MongoDB, covering aspects like data modeling, migrations, and performance optimization.

• Understanding of secure software development practices, cloud security, identity and access management, secrets management, and network security.

• Experience in AI-native development and programming agents to enhance developer productivity.

• Excellent communication abilities with a focus on collaboration and teamwork.

• Advanced skills in Go and TypeScript.

• Hands-on experience with Temporal for durable execution, workflow orchestration, and managing long-running distributed processes.

• Thorough understanding of infrastructure security, workload isolation, container security, and zero-trust principles.

• Proven experience in building platforms for AI agents or sandbox execution.
