
Senior Software Engineer β Agent Systems

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United Kingdom.
β’ Develop and deliver AI-driven agent systems that streamline internal workflows and decision-making processes.
β’ Create and execute inference pipelines that analyze user interactions within internal systems.
β’ Rapidly prototype to test agent functionalities, then transition successful solutions to production.
β’ Design backend services that integrate various internal APIs and data sources.
β’ Establish standards for safe, observable, and manageable agent operations.
β’ Collaborate across teams to pinpoint automation opportunities with high impact.
β’ Enhance system performance, reliability, and signal quality as usage increases.
β’ Play a role in foundational design choices for a 0β1 agent platform.
β’ Partner with product, infrastructure, and internal operations teams.
β’ Complete assessments related to job skills or work styles as part of the recruitment process.
β’ Minimum of 5 years of experience in developing and deploying production software systems.
β’ Strong foundational knowledge in backend engineering, including APIs, distributed systems, data modeling, and reliability.
β’ Experience in building fullstack systems, with proficiency in backend and occasional frontend development.
β’ Practical experience with AI/ML systems, large language models (LLMs), or inference pipelines in a production environment.
β’ Ability to rapidly prototype while ensuring a viable path to production-grade architecture.
β’ Strong systems thinking skills, encompassing orchestration, failure modes, and observability.
β’ Comfort in navigating ambiguous, 0β1 environments with a high degree of ownership.
β’ Experience in creating or managing agent-based systems or autonomous workflows (preferred).
β’ Familiarity with prompt engineering, evaluation frameworks, or tuning model performance (preferred).
β’ Experience integrating with internal enterprise systems such as CRM, support tools, and analytics platforms (preferred).
β’ Background in developing developer platforms or internal tools (preferred).
β’ Experience in designing guardrails, sandboxing, or safety mechanisms for AI systems (preferred).
