Senior Software Engineer – 3P Partnerships

This is a fully remote position, open to applicants in United States.

📋 Description

• Design, develop, test, and deploy high-quality software solutions.

• Implement system and data monitors to ensure the accuracy of business processes.

• Contribute to various team-wide business and technical objectives.

• Lead cross-functional projects within an agile framework and engage in planning activities.

• Define, break down, and organize projects for multiple team members.

• Assign tasks and coordinate with colleagues to complete projects with minimal supervision.

• Generate reasonably accurate time estimates to assist in determining project timelines.

• Uphold standard development practices across the team, including idiomatic syntax, design patterns, and testing/quality protocols.

• Provide primary operational support and engineering for several large distributed software applications.

• Integrate with existing REST APIs, create new APIs, and expose data to the frontend.

• Connect Gopuff’s software with third-party systems.

• Influence technology decisions through leadership and mentorship of an empowered team.

⛳️ Requirements

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or a related field.

• Demonstrated experience in a senior engineering position with increasing levels of responsibility.

• Proficiency in SQL, Postgres, Java, Go (golang), and/or Node.js.

• Strong understanding of data structures, algorithms, and their application in building data-intensive applications that handle high-velocity data (millions of transactions) or high-volume data (transactions affecting millions of records).

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities.

• Proven capability to mentor a team and lead without direct supervision.

• Experience in a tech lead role for a small team, with a desire for ongoing career advancement in a leadership capacity (Manager or Principal Engineer).

• Familiarity with Terraform, Pulumi, Helm, and GitHub Actions.

• Experience with SQL data analysis (Snowflake/BigQuery) and some understanding of data pipelines.

• Experience with message-based, asynchronous processing.

• Proficiency in JavaScript and SPA technologies in a production environment (e.g., Vue, React).

• Experience with public cloud environments in a production setting (Azure preferred).

• 8+ years of relevant experience.
